Yesterday the price for Xbox One and PS4 were revealed during their E3 2013 press conferences. The pricing announced, i believe has already swayed many to make up their minds on which console they will be pre-ordering.
The PS4! What a shocker Sony not only revealed the cheaper price tag at £349, but also made Microsoft look like a fool by clearly pointing out that they fully support the used game market, and do not require an always on connection, lending games to friends and family and more (they also don't have a camera watching you at all times). The one thing that was mentioned which could alter peoples opinion on the PS4 is that a PlayStation plus account is needed to play games online. Although unlike Xbox Live, PlayStation plus is currently a service which gives back to the consumer, in the form of reduced prices and most importantly GAMES! So your £40 subscription is totally worth it as long as they keep the service similar to what PlayStation fans have grown to love. So all in all PS4 looks to be the superior console of the next generation of gaming.

The game stick is a android based console similar to the ouya yet a lot more based on the portability. The idea behind this is a pocket sized games console for the big screen. The actual console is so small it fits inside the controller, yet this size does mean a less powerful processor than the ouya. So I suppose the main question is, do these consoles have enough power in them, to produce enough gems to make the consoles a worthwhile buy. Just this week the ouya was released for pre-order at game uk. This is for its release in June 2013. I have made a video on the subject, where I discuss specs and importance of this console for the indie developer. Watch the video here : www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHSDCRqzkHk
